At our core the London SciComm Socials are about creating spaces to share ideas, form connections, and generate new ideas.

We’re proud of everything that found its initial spark though our events and networks and this page showcases a range of these, celebrating the results of coming together with other people in science communication to share your work.

London PEN provides networking opportunities and practical support for public engagement professionals working with researchers in research and higher education establishments.
At PubhD events, three PhD students, from any academic discipline, explain their work to an audience in a pub in exchange for a pint or two. The talks are at a “pub level” – the idea is that you don’t have to be an academic to understand the talks!

Talent FactoryTalent Factory
Two cohorts of science communicators came together through the Science Showoff Talent Factory to become a mutually-supportive group of elite science performers. Successful applicants to this scheme benefited from masterclasses and opportunities.
